For those that still prefer to stay home, church services are live-streamed every Sunday, on St John’s dedicated YouTube channel. If you do happen to miss the live service, please watch the recorded service, at your leisure, on the same link.

About St John’s Lutheran Parish
We are a member of the Free Evangelical Lutheran Synod in South Africa (FELSISA). The Holy Scripture directs the preaching and actions of FELSISA and its members. We truly believe that the Holy Scripture is the indisputable word of God. The doctrine and confessions of the Lutheran church strongly reflects this belief.
St John’ parish is proud of its historical heritage. Early German, immigrant families established the parish back in 1893. The first pastor came from the local mission station. During the early years, the parish faced the challenge of not having their own permanent building. Church services were conducted in temporary lodgings, constantly shifting between Marburg and Izotsha. Eventually, after seventy-four years, or, three generations, the existing church building was built in Shelly Beach. The church was dedicated to our Triune God in 1967.
Pastor Toby Ahlers serves the parish of St John’s. He and his family, live in the manse, on the property of the church. You can contact Pastor Toby at 0785752604, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
